Yes, the FLASH GORDON ADVENTURES (VOL 2) Graphic Novel is printed up and will be in my greedy little mitts in mere days!!! I am beyond giddy to have been a part of this book! As a very young little lad I would religiously watch old Johnny Weissmuller TARZAN movies, and the Buster Keaton FLASH GORDON serials, on the weekends with my older brother while our parents visited with my Tante and Onkel.
Those old black & whites mesmerized me entirely! The crude special effects of Flash’s spaceship…Bzzzt BZZZZ…sparklers spattering and falling off the backs of the ships…

My love of Flash Gordon never went away. Yeah, the 80s Flash movie was kind of cornball, but I still loved it. It certainly didn’t hurt having Queen do the soundtrack as they were–and still are–my favorite band of all time.
So, when I was asked last year to contribute a couple stories to this new All Ages Anthology I nearly fell off of my chair with excitement! I, literally, went to work on it immediately after the formal invite, writing up about a dozen story ideas. I had them sent in to the editor, Adam Wallenta, within a week. Two were immediately approved and I, again, went right to work on the art. Two weeks later, done! Cue Flash Theme song here!
I couldn’t be prouder of my humble little contribution to Flash Gordon canon. I am honored, and I hope you like what I did.
