I am so unbelievably honored today! CBR (Comic Book Resources) just released their list of “The Best Graphic Novels of All Time!” and my book, F.A.R.M. SYSTEM made the list! #31 of 55 books! I’m in there with MAUS, BONE, THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, and THE WATCHMEN! CBR even used my cover art to head the article!!! I’m astonished.
While my book hasn’t sold nearly the amount of copies as most of the books they voted in I am honored, nonetheless. It is moments like this, receiving validation like this, that makes the very long–and sometimes difficult–journey as an artist worth every minute.
Thank you to the fine folks at CBR for this honor. I am so grateful. You have made my day, my week, my month, my YEAR!

#31 F.A.R.M System Is About the Business of Superheroes
Richard Koslowski

Superheroes are all the rage in pop culture and shows based on comics like The Boys ask questions about what would happen if the creation of superheroes was an industrial process. The Boys, based on one of writer Garth Ennis’s more nihilistic works, is entirely cynical, but F.A.R.M. System goes in a completely different direction. The book looks at superheroics like a pro sport, with training facilities, endorsement deals, and tiers like minor and major league baseball have.
F.A.R.M. System flew beneath the radar, but it’s a brilliant read. Koslowski pulls readers into this world where they experience every aspect of its superhero industry, from the heroes to the slightly sleazy agents and corporations who make the whole thing tick. It’s a wonderful story that pulls readers in and asks them to think about superheroes in a new but entertaining way.
