It was one of the greatest pleasures in my career as a professional artist to have been asked by SUMMERFEST (The World’s Biggest Music Festival) to design a “Comic Book Cover” featuring one of this year’s headline acts, BAD OMENS!
When the Summerfest Team contacted me they informed me that they had discovered the band members were comic book fans. And each year Summerfest presents gifts to all the headliners that perform on the main stage. So I was asked to create a “Faux Comic Book Cover” with the band and a “Summerfest theme.” The Image was then to be made into four 18″x24″ posters, one poster presented to each member of the band. I was delighted to have complete creative control and equally delighted by Summerfest’s reactions to my work! They were completely on board each step of the way.
BAD OMENS is a phenomenon! They are wildly popular and amazingly successful! I was so honored to do this. And, as a lifelong resident of the Milwaukee area, and having, myself, attended the Summerfest festival hundreds of times, this was a massive honor for me as an artist to have participated, and be even a small part of Summerfest’s legacy.
