Hello all! Being “in-between” projects is always a very strange time for me. As, although I never ever really “stop working”, I currently have zero contracted jobs going.
My last GN with Top Shelf hit in November and it’s looking pretty unlikely that we’ll be doing another F.A.R.M. SYSTEM book anytime soon. Sales were “soft”, despite excellent reviews–but I’m being told sales are soft on pretty much most everything these days in graphic novels. Which is a quite the disconcerting bummer.
I’m always working on new ideas and pitches, of course, and I have one right now that I am very excited about! It’s a fun humor/ action/sci-fi/western/space romp! Yep. And I am having one heck of a time writing this one.
I am currently “shopping it” to publishers. It’s in the hands of some editors right now that I would love to work with so, fingers are crossed that they pick it up. Some publishers that I think it would be a great fit with, though, do not take unsolicited pitches. They only work through Literary Agents. I have never had a literary agent before…never needed one. This is new territory for me so I’m also currently shopping myself and my new project to literary agents and agencies.
If you are a publisher, or a literary agent, that has been attracted to my previous works, and are interested in what I’ve got cooking for my next big project, please give me a shout.
FOR THE GLORY!
Rich
